Education Equity in Philadelphia

with the National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA)

Join the National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA) on Friday, October 11 for a morning of networking, discussion, and professional development in community with others working to increase educational access, equity, and justice for students from historically marginalized communities. Hosted by NPEA Advisory Board members Eric Jones (Community Partnership School) and Nicole Maloy (University of Pennsylvania), in partnership with Deb Borden (Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools), the event will take place from 8:30-11:30am at Community Partnership School in Philadelphia.

As we prepare for election season and continue to navigate difficult conversations around the possible outcomes of the election, and the impact on our work, we will engage together to discuss how to lift up the voices of the students we serve and empower youth to be participants in the conversation. We will be joined by guest speaker, Kamryn Davis, from PA Youth Vote.

Attendees are invited to join from a range of education settings, including nonprofit community-based organizations, public and private schools, colleges/universities, and others working in education access and equity. Registration is open to NPEA Members, PAIS Members, and Non-Members and includes light breakfast items and coffee, with breakfast and networking to take place from 8:30am-9:00am and guest speaker, small group discussions, and debrief from 9:00am-11:30am.

We hope you can join us!
