AI Is Changing Women's Work. Now What?

Wednesday, December 911:10am – 12:25pm

AI is reshaping the workplace, and women leaders have an important role to play in determining what comes next. In this practical, human-centered session, Kasia Hatcher will explore how AI is changing the work women disproportionately perform and help participants move beyond simply using AI to work faster. Attendees will learn how to use AI as a thought partner, workflow assistant, and strategic capacity-builder; identify where it can meaningfully support their work; and recognize where human judgment and accountability remain essential. No technical background is required, just a willingness to explore how AI can create more capacity for the work that matters most.

She is known for making complex ideas practical, human, and immediately useful.

Change as Care: A Human-Centered Approach to Leading Change

Wednesday, December 912:55 – 1:55pm

We tend to treat change as a logistics problem: the comms plan, the timeline, the training dates, the adoption dashboard. Those matter. But if you've ever watched a solid rollout quietly go nowhere, you already know the truth: change really turns on how people feel about it. What they're being asked to let go of. What they're not sure they can do yet. The quiet “not like this” underneath the polite nod in the meeting. Before I worked in tech, I was a social worker in higher ed and education nonprofits. That training turned out to be the most useful thing I bring to change work. This session shares that lens. Using the Bridges Transition Model and motivational interviewing, we'll look at how to hear resistance as information instead of a problem to manage, how to meet people where they actually are, and how to move a team through the uncertain middle without pushing or rushing. For teams doing access work that are stretched thin but personally invested, this is change management as an act of care. You'll leave with a simple framework you can put to work on a change already underway in your own organization.
